비대면 폰테크 부산시는 16일 오전 부산시청 국제의전실에서 엠디엠플러스가 세계 디자인 수도 부산을 위해 기부금 110억 원을 전달한다고 밝혔다.
엠디엠플러스는 부동산 개발과 금융·자산운용 등 사업을 펼치는 엠디엠그룹(대기업 순위 63위)의 자회사이다. 지난해 12월 부산 해운대구 옛 그랜드호텔 부지(해운대구 우동 651의2 일대)를 개발 사업시행자이다.
이날 전달식에는 박형준 시장과 구명완 엠디엠플러스 대표이사 등이 참석했다.
부산시에 따르면 엠디엠플러스의 기부금은 부산 해운대 공원·동백 공원·동백 유원지의 디자인 환경 개선 사업에 전액 사용될 예정이다. 특히 디자인수도 부산의 정체성을 상징할 수 있는 공공 열린 쉼터를 조성하고, 해운대 관광특구 일대의 도시경관 품격을 끌어올릴 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
부산시는 ‘2028 세계디자인수도 부산’ 추진을 위해 ‘모두를 포용하는 도시, 함께 만들어가는 디자인’을 주제로 2026년부터 2028년까지 민관 협력을 통한 디자인 중심 도시 정책을 펼친다는 계획이다. 또 시민과 함께하는 다양한 디자인 프로젝트도 단계적으로 추진한다.
박형준 부산시장은 “엠디엠플러스의 기부는 ‘2028 세계디자인수도 부산’을 향한 민관 협력의 모범 사례”라며 “이번 사업을 통해 디자인의 가치를 체감할 수 있는 글로벌 수준의 공원·유원지 공간을 조성해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
강원도 최전방 경계초소(GOP) 인근에 모래샘을 만들어 깨끗한 물을 공급하는 친환경 사업이 추진된다.
기후에너지환경부는 14일 강원도 화천군 육군 제2군단에서 삼성전자·한국수자원공사·한국건설기술연구원과 부내 경계초소에 깨끗한 용수를 공급하기 위한 모래샘 조성사업 협력 공동이행 협약을 체결한다고 밝혔다. 이번 모래샘 조성사업을 통해 군 장병들이 안심하고 마실 수 있는 깨끗한 물을 제공할 방침이다.
모래샘은 계곡이나 하천 아래 단단한 기반암 위에 쌓인 모래층의 틈에 물을 저장하는, 자연형 지하 저수 공간을 뜻한다. 일반 저수지에 물을 저장하는 방식보다 증발 손실이 적고, 모래층을 거치며 자연적으로 정화돼 수질 개선 효과가 크다. 지하수가 스며들면서 물 확보에 용이하다는 장점도 있다.
아프리카 등 건조 지역에서는 연간 드물게 발생하는 홍수 때 물을 가둬 흙과 모래를 가라앉힌 뒤, 정화된 물을 건기에 활용한다.
모래샘 조성 사업에서 삼성전자는 협력 사업비를 분담하고, 육군 2군단은 모래샘 부지제공과 인·허가와 시설 유지 관리를 맡는다. 한국수자원공사와 한국건설기술연구원은 기초조사·설계·시공을 전담하기로 했다. 기후부는 내년 하반기에 모래샘 설치사업이 마무리되면 물 복원량을 인증할 계획이다.
한편 이번 사업은 사용(취수)하는 물의 양보다 더 많은 물을 자연에 돌려보내 지속가능한 물관리에 기여하는 ‘워터 포지티브’ 사업의 일환으로 추진된다. 워터 포지티브에는 기업 내부의 물 사용 효율성 제고, 하·폐수 처리수 재이용, 유역 수질 개선, 유역 내 수자원 추가확보 활동 등이 포함된다. 이미 마이크로소프트와 구글 등 글로벌 기업들은 물 분야에서 친환경 경영을 강화하며 워터 포지티브 전략을 추진하고 있다.
중국 공산당과 대만 국민당 간 교류행사인 ‘국공포럼’이 이달 말 베이징에서 약 10년 만에 개최된다.
13일 연합보 등 대만 매체는 국민당과 공산당이 공동 주최하는 국공포럼이 이달 말 베이징에서 개최된다고 밝혔다. 포럼에는 샤오취첸 국민당 부주석이 이끄는 대표단이 참석해 공산당 간부들과 교류할 예정이다.
국공포럼은 2005년 당시 후진타오 중국 국가주석과 롄잔 국민당 주석 합의로 조성됐다. 포럼은 2006~2013년 해마다 열렸으며 2014년 한 해 건너뛰었으나 2015년에 다시 열렸다.
포럼은 2016년 이름을 ‘양안평화발전포럼’으로 이름을 바꿔 개최한 뒤 국민당이 민진당에 패한 뒤로 행사가 중단됐다. 국민당 내에서도 포럼이 형식적 기구로 전락했다는 평가와 함께 선거 패배로 인해 공산당과 거리를 둬야 한다는 목소리가 나왔기 때문이다.
마지막으로 국공포럼이 개최된 2016년 시진핑 주석은 홍슈주 당시 국민당 주석과 국공 회담을 열고 ‘92컨센서스(92공식·1992년 ’하나의 중국‘을 인정하되 각자 명칭을 사용하기로 한 합의)’ 준수를 촉구했다.
포럼 부활은 지난해 10월 당선된 정리원 국민당 주석의 강한 의지가 작용했다고 평가된다. 대만 매체 펑촨메이는 “국공포럼은 정리원 주석 취임 이후 양안 해빙과 화해를 위한 노력의 시작점이 될 것”이라고 설명했다.
정 주석은 당선 후 시진핑 중국 국가주석을 만나고 싶다고 하는 등 대만의 평화를 위해서는 양안 교류가 재개돼야 한다고 강력하게 주장해 왔다.
정 주석은 지난 11일 대만 일간지 왕바오와의 인터뷰에서 “취임 후 양안 대화 증진에 힘써 왔다”며 “국민당 싱크탱크가 미래지향적이고 중요한 관련 사안들을 적극적으로 준비하고 있다”고 밝혔다.
