의정부변호사 금융당국이 올해 상반기 출시될 5세대 실손보험의 상품 설계 기준을 마련했다. 도수치료처럼 비중증 치료를 받을 때는 본인부담률을 기존 30%에서 50%로 늘리는 대신 보험료를 30%가량 낮출 예정이다.
금융위원회는 의료쇼핑과 과잉진료를 막기 위해 보험업법 시행령·감독규정에 대한 입법·규정변경 예고를 한다고 15일 밝혔다.
실손보험은 판매 시기에 따라 1세대(2009년 이전), 2세대(2009~2017년), 3세대(2017~2021년)로 구분된다.
4세대는 2021년 출시돼 현재 판매 중이다.
5세대 실손보험은 4세대보다 보험료가 30~50% 싸다. 보상을 줄인 대신 보험료를 싸게 한 것이다.
5세대 실손의 비급여 의료비는 중증과 비중증으로 구분한다.
중증의 경우 보상한도가 연간 5000만원이다. 본인부담률은 입원 30%, 통원 30%·3만원이다. 다만 중증 환자가 상급종합병원이나 종합병원에 입원했을 때는 최대 500만원까지만 본인이 부담한다. 4세대는 본인부담 한도가 없었다. 환자는 진료비 부담을 덜 수 있다.
비중증 보상한도는 4세대 연간 5000만원에서 연간 1000만원으로 줄었다. 본인부담률은 입원 50%, 통원 50%·5만원이다.
비중증의 경우 본인부담률이 기존 30%에서 50%로 올라갔다. 비중증 질환에선 ‘의료쇼핑’을 막기 위해 자기 돈 절반을 내라는 취지다. 비중증의 면책 범위는 기존 미용·성형뿐 아니라 미등재 신의료기술과 근골격계 치료·주사제 등이 포함됐다.
소비자를 보호하기 위해 판매채널의 책임성도 강화한다. 법인보험대리점(GA) 본점의 지점 관리체계를 마련하고, GA의 배상책임 능력을 높이기 위해 영업보증금을 상향한다.
이번 개정안 예고는 다음달 25일까지다. 그 뒤 규제개혁위원회·법제처 심사, 차관회의·국무회의 의결 등을 거쳐 올해 상반기 중 개정이 완료될 예정이다.

현대차그룹은 자율주행 기술 전문가인 박민우 박사(49·사진)를 그룹 첨단차플랫폼(AVP) 본부장 겸 포티투닷(42dot) 대표이사(사장)로 영입했다고 13일 밝혔다. 지난달 송창현 전 본부장이 일신상 사유로 퇴임 의사를 밝힌 지 한 달여 만이다.
박 신임 사장은 테슬라, 엔비디아 등에서 컴퓨터 비전 기반 자율주행 분야 기술의 연구·개발, 양산, 상용화 등 전 과정을 경험한 기술 리더라고 현대차그룹은 소개했다. 박 사장은 미국 펜실베이니아주립대에서 전기·전자 석사, 컴퓨터공학 박사 학위를 받았다.
최근에는 엔비디아 부사장으로서 자율주행 인지 기술을 개발하는 조직에 합류해 자율주행 소프트웨어 양산·상용화를 주도했다. 특히 인지·센서 융합 기술을 전담하는 조직을 이끌며 자율주행 플랫폼의 차량 적용을 성공적으로 추진했다. 테슬라 재직 당시에는 주행 보조 소프트웨어인 오토파일럿 설계 및 개발 과정에 참여한 것으로 전해졌다.
현대차그룹은 이번 영입을 통해 소프트웨어중심차량(SDV)·자율주행 기술 개발과 사업화에 속도를 낸다는 구상이다.
박 사장은 “현대차그룹은 SDV와 자율주행을 넘어 로보틱스를 아우르는 피지컬 AI(인공지능) 경쟁력을 빠르게 현실화할 수 있는 최적의 기반을 갖췄다”며 “현대차그룹이 다음 세대의 지능형 모빌리티를 이끌어가고 세계 혁신의 기준이 되는 데 기여하겠다”고 말했다.<p><span><a
