양육권 국민의힘 중앙윤리위원회가 14일 당원게시판 의혹과 관련해 한동훈 전 대표에 대한 제명을 의결했다. 한 전 대표 징계를 둘러싸고 친한동훈계 등의 반발이 예상되면서 당내 갈등은 한층 격화할 것으로 전망된다.
윤리위는 지난 13일 오후 한 전 대표의 징계 여부를 논의하는 회의를 연 뒤 이같이 결정했다고 이날 밝혔다. 당적을 박탈하는 제명은 국민의힘 당규에 명시된 징계 중 가장 무거운 수위의 처분이다.
윤리위는 이날 보도자료에서 “피조사인(한 전 대표)과 가족은 전임 대통령과 가족, 그리고 자당의 주요 정치 지도자들을 공격하는 당원게시판 사건을 일으켜 당에 큰 물의를 일으켰다”며 “대통령과 당의 지도부를 공격하고 분쟁을 유발해 국민적 지지와 신뢰를 추락하게 한 것은 윤리적·정치적으로 매우 중차대한 해당 행위”라고 의결 이유를 설명했다.
지난 2024년 11월 제기된 당원게시판 의혹은 한 전 대표와 그의 가족이 국민의힘 익명 당원게시판에 윤석열 전 대통령 부부 비방글을 올렸다는 내용이다. 앞서 국민의힘 당무감사위는 지난달 30일 한 전 대표의 가족이 당원게시판에 윤 전 대통령 부부 등의 비방글을 올린 것을 사실상 확인했다고 발표했다.
이에 대해 한 전 대표는 자신의 가족이 당원게시판에 윤 전 대통령 부부에 비판적인 내용의 언론사 사설을 게재한 사실은 인정하면서도 게재 자체는 문제가 없다고 반박했다. 그는 또 “당무감사위원회가 제 가족이 쓰지 않은 글 수백 개를 제 가족이 쓴 것처럼 이름을 바꿔치기해 발표했다”며 조작 감사라고 주장했다.
국민의힘 당규에 따르면 당원에 대한 제명은 윤리위 의결 후 최고위원회의 의결을 거쳐 확정한다. 한 전 대표에 대한 제명 여부는 최고위원회의 논의를 거쳐 최종 확정될 것으로 보인다.
한 전 대표는 이날 페이스북에서 “국민과 함께 민주주의를 지키겠다”고 밝혔다.

유 시장은 12일 자신의 SNS에 “재외동포청장의 재외동포청 광화문 이전 언급에 깊은 우려와 함께 강력한 반대 의사를 표명한다”며 “재외동포청은 그 이름처럼 ‘세계와 대한민국을 잇는 가교’ 역할을 수행하는 중요한 기관으로, 이 가교의 출발점은 지금처럼 인천 송도여야 한다”고 밝혔다.
재외동포청장은 지난 9일 한 언론과의 인터뷰에서 “재외동포청은 업무 특성상 외교부와 긴밀히 협의해야 할 사안이 많은데, 너무 떨어져 있어 이동하는 데 많은 시간을 허비하고 있다. 서울 광화문 정부청사로 이전을 검토하고 있다”고 말했다.
이어 “광화문 정부중앙청사에 빈 사무 공간이 있는 것으로 알고 있다”며 “임차료 예산을 절감하는 효과도 거둘 수 있을 것”이라고 덧붙였다.
이에 대해 유 시장은 “재외동포청은 세계로 향하는 관문인 인천국제공항과 가까워야 한다. 이를 통해 동포분들은 가장 편리하고 효율적으로 재외동포청의 서비스를 이용할 수 있다. 이는 재외동포청의 핵심 기능이자 존재 이유와 직결된다”고 주장했다.
이어 “재외동포청은 명실상부한 국제도시 송도의 인프라다. 단순히 외교부 근처에 청사를 둔다고 해서 이러한 국제적 역할을 제대로 수행할 수 있다고 보지 않는다”고 덧붙였다.
유 시장은 또 “지금 송도에 위치한 재외동포청은 700만 재외동포들의 의견 수렴을 거쳤다”며 “외교부 인근으로 재외동포청을 이전하겠다는 말씀은 실수요자인 국민의 의견을 도외시하고 공무원의 행정편의주의적 결정에 지나지 않는다”고 지적했다.
유 시장은 “김경협 재외동포청장께 재외동포청의 광화문 이전 발언을 철회해 주실 것을 강력하게 요구한다”고 강조했다.
750만 재외동포 관련 정책과 사업을 총괄 수립·집행하는 재외동포청은 2023년 6월 설립됐다. 본청은 인천 송도에 있고, 통합민원실인 재외동포서비스지원센터는 서울 광화문에 있다.

이에 대해 유 시장은 “재외동포청은 세계로 향하는 관문인 인천국제공항과 가까워야 한다. 이를 통해 동포분들은 가장 편리하고 효율적으로 재외동포청의 서비스를 이용할 수 있다. 이는 재외동포청의 핵심 기능이자 존재 이유와 직결된다”고 주장했다.
이어 “재외동포청은 명실상부한 국제도시 송도의 인프라다. 단순히 외교부 근처에 청사를 둔다고 해서 이러한 국제적 역할을 제대로 수행할 수 있다고 보지 않는다”고 덧붙였다.
유 시장은 또 “지금 송도에 위치한 재외동포청은 700만 재외동포들의 의견 수렴을 거쳤다”며 “외교부 인근으로 재외동포청을 이전하겠다는 말씀은 실수요자인 국민의 의견을 도외시하고 공무원의 행정편의주의적 결정에 지나지 않는다”고 지적했다.
유 시장은 “김경협 재외동포청장께 재외동포청의 광화문 이전 발언을 철회해 주실 것을 강력하게 요구한다”고 강조했다.
750만 재외동포 관련 정책과 사업을 총괄 수립·집행하는 재외동포청은 2023년 6월 설립됐다. 본청은 인천 송도에 있고, 통합민원실인 재외동포서비스지원센터는 서울 광화문에 있다.
